About the Artist
J. K. (Janet) Lee dropped out of art class in the eighth grade because she wanted to be a writer. Years later, after graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in English, working for more than a decade in the publishing industry, and marrying novelist Mike Lee, Janet found her way back to art. Currently she works in watercolor and ink, decoupaging elements into disparate backgrounds, often in other media. Janet finds that this style both plays to her love of all things graphic, and allows her to work around her active four-year-old Ethan.
Janet also designs pendants which her talented sister, K. Pack, turns into beautiful necklaces. Most recently, she is trying her hand at puppet making.
